Volunteers Needed

Make a difference in a young person's life. Share your time, talents and treasure. Giving your time is time invested in the future leaders of our world.

Our volunteers share their talents - computer technicians, musicians, dancers, artists, doctors, lawyers. Together they lift up families and celebrate life. Volunteers give their time in tutoring, coaching, and mentoring children and youth. You can also help with your financial support. Individuals, businesses, foundations and charities all participate in supporting PAYFS and everything we do.

All of our volunteers will need to complete a background check before they begin to work with children or youth.

After-School Tutoring
Meet one-on-one once a week with a child, working on reading skills. You will be trained and supported by a licensed teacher, who will guide you through the tutoring materials. Tutoring sessions this year are on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

Tronix Team
Teach or assist with teaching sessions for students making electronics projects. No electronic experience needed, just a love for children. Times vary, mostly after-school hours.

Group Projects
We can accommodate all sizes and groups for one session or a full week. We will do training on issues in our community and on the job. Volunteer groups can prepare meals, teach and lead camps to serve the needs of our urban neighborhood.
